One of our favourite campgrounds! A large field with very spacious campsites surrounded by a forest and river. The highlights are bonfires, swimming in the river, tree swing, lots of great mountain bike tracks, feeding eels and going to see glow worms at night. Toilets only but well maintained.
We have so many great memories from camping here over the years, and it's close enough to the local towns to get supplies while still being remote and surrounded by nature. Lovely and dark at night, no crazy streetlights, meaning no light pollution.
Definitely worth staying and experiencing all it has to offer.
Lovely spot to camp. Grey swimming hole, you can pat the massive eels too. My kids also liked hanging out with the chickens and cuddling them. It rained when we were there but that didn't dampen the fun. The farm open day was on as well when we were there so that was a bonus
If you like real camping this is perfect! Such a beautiful spot. Kids loved the swimming hole, the bush walk for the shade and feeding the eels! Well tended, safe, clean toilets. Love this place!
Well maintained campsite. You can hear the road (not that busy at night) so if a light sleeper ear plugs recommended!
Great for the family camping.
Can be quite busy over holidays.
Nice place with various short walks surrounded by history. Enjoyed the battle hill walk although the information boards need replacing. Eels and chickens amd various other wildlife around to see...Nice spot to spend a few hours

Great camp ground for anyone who is ready for real camping. Fees are cheap but there are no powered sites.
There is a camp fire pad by each site which is awesome.
Make sure you bring clean water (or have the ability to boil water onsite) take toilet paper (incase they have run out) bring your own wood for the camp fire.
Great walking tracks all around and a stream which weaves its way around the whole area.
Plenty of open spaces for kids to run around and play safely. Really good fun for the whole family whether it's just a day trip or a full camping experience.
There are many tracks with lots to see and explore.
